Subject: Thank you - let's stop this madness
Thanks for signing the petition. This is a big weekend to push back against these kinds of ugly smears, both online and in the streets. We need to show the true face of climate change - both the impacts it is having on our world, and the face of the people who understand the depth of this crisis.
First things first: if you haven't shared the petition calling for Heartland to stop the smears, and their corporate backers to end their support, do that now:

The critical place to fight back is in the streets of our communities this weekend. Climate change is here, it is real, and it is reckless to twist the debate with tactics like this.
