Task Force meeting venue and agenda The next meeting of the Governor's Southern Resident Orca Task Force will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at the Lacey Community Center, 6729 Pacific Avenue SE, Lacey, WA. Agenda items include the following: An update on legislation related to Southern Resident orca recovery. An overview of the task force work plan for 2019. Presentations and discussion about water quality improvement in Puget Sound and the effects of climate change on the Southern Residents. View the full agenda here. PLEASE NOTE: Public comment will take place in the last hour of the meeting. Our previous notice incorrectly stated that public comment would be taken at the beginning of the meeting. Washington's public affairs network, TVW, plans to record the meeting. The venue's systems may not support live-streaming, but the broadcast will be available afterward in the TVW archives. Please check the TVW website for more information. Logistics Parking. The Lacey Community Center offers ample free parking for those attending the meeting. Meals. A buffet lunch will be served for Task Force members, facilitators, and staff. Other attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Special accommodation.
