We need to do better. 37 milliion confined #birds have been killed as a preventive measure. There has been a huge number of cases of #birdflu in #wildbirds compared to outbreaks in previous years. Both trends are unacceptable.
"Scientists estimated in a study published three years ago that the number of wild birds in North America had fallen by nearly 3 billion since 1970 as humans continue to encroach on their habitat."
